Lecture by Prime Minister of Montenegro, HE Dritan Abazovic

On 08/10/2022, SWISS UMEF had the honour to receive a visit and a lecture to students of the Executive Master Programme of International Relations and Global Politics, the current Prime Minister of Montenegro, HE Dritan Abazovic.


Being the youngest prime minister in Europe, as well as considering the fact that Montenegro belongs to a region with a lot of political turmoil in the last 30 years, it was an excellent opportunity for students to hear from him about his vision for change, the problems that Montenegro is facing, as well as the Balkan region in general.


Mr Abazovic held numerous discussions with those present where he mainly presented the political situation of the region and Montenegro, his vision for development and European integration, the fight against organized crime and corruption, as well as the importance of the strengthening the rule of law.


At the end of the lecture, the ceremony of awarding the honorary title was organized, where for his leadership and contribution to the rule of law, promotion of peace and stability in the region, the Academic and Research Board of SWISS UMEF , has decided to award a degree of Doctor Honoris Causa to Dr Dritan Abazovic.


Professors, Students, and guests from many countries of the world participated in this ceremony.
